Break in advice

I'm at about 70 miles on my new 2024 Yamaha R3, all of it city riding so far. I've read a ton of different takes on how to break these bikes in, some people say baby it, others say ride it harder right from the start. I'm stuck in the middle and not sure which way to lean. Also wondering if it's too soon to take it on the freeway or if that's fair game now. How did you all handle the first couple hundred miles on your R3?

With only 70 miles in, youre still in the break in phase, so the safest bet is to follow Yamaha's guidelines, keep the revs varied, avoid holding one speed too long and dont push it to redline just yet. You don't need to baby it, but easing into higher RPMs gradually will help the engine seat properly. A short freeway run is fine as long as you mix up your throttle and dont cruise at one speed for too long.
