gearbox durability

im a novice rider and im not ashamed to say im not the smoothest one meaning i often end up with jerkey starts or poor downshifts so my question is will the gearbox handle this? ill get the hang of it sooner or later but i dont want to destroy the gearbox in the proces

R3s are quite resilient, though too much of that would damage the gearbox for sure. but hell, enjoy the process of learning. If you really enjoy what youre doing then you wont mind spending for it.

The R3's gearbox is strong, don't worry. And if you're not the smoothest driver now, that can still improve over time. You'll definitely get the hang of it and you're not gonna make a dent on your gearbox. Just make sure you do maintenance checks routinely!

I'm sure you'll learn to be better sooner or later, don't worry, just enjoy!

You're good. Those gearboxes are really tough so long as you don't slam it like you're mad at it. And it's fine if you're not yet driving smooth like butter now. It takes time It takes a lot of rides and even failures. You'll get there one day.
