Cloudy oil in sight glass normal or problem?

Hey everyone, I picked up this R3 a few months ago and I just did my first oil change today. When I looked at the sight glass, the oil appeared a bit cloudy from certain angles. Everything seems to be alright, no overheating, no coolant loss, and the bike runs fine. I might be overanalyzing, but has anyone else experienced this? Just curious if it's normal after an oil change or if I should be concerned about moisture or something else getting mixed in.

Totally fine, nothing wrong with that. Oil's been stirred up or there's a little condensation from short rides or temperature changes

Did you warm up the engine before checking the oil, or was it sitting cold when you noticed the cloudy look?

It's likely just aeration. When you drain, refill, and start the engine, the oil pump is pushing new oil through all the passages, and it whips up a lot of tiny air bubbles. They take a while to dissipate, especially when the oil is cold

Like the others said, it's not a problem, but I'd keep an eye on it. It shouldn't get worse, but if it does, you might want to do another oil change and send a sample for analysis. This is the lest invasive way to find out what's in the oil and how much worried you should be.

Cloudy oil right after a change can just be tiny air bubbles from filling and running the engine, it usually clears up after a ride. If it stays milky or gets worse, then you'd want to check for moisture or coolant mixing, but from what you're describing it's probably nothing serious @slipstreamsquadron22

Overanalyzing is good, monitor while you're at it, but yeah thats normal. Nothing to worry about.
