My GF's 2023 R3 got melted exhaust & backfiring

So, my girlfriend has this 2023 Yamaha YZF-R3, only about 700 miles on it, and she installed a full system exhaust.

She thought she'd pushed the canister away from the header enough when she first put it on, but guess she messed up and it just shifted back.
She recently managed to fully move the canister away from the header so it's not touching and getting cooked anymore, but now there's this melted bit on the plastic part of it.

She's planning to get an ECU flash and block off plates installed, but that won't happen for another week or two

I told her not to ride the bike untill it's fixed, but she's kinda stubborn. Will it be okay to run her bike like this for another 200-500 miles max?

Absolutely, that's pretty typical with full systems on the R3. As long as the canister isn't touching the header now, it should hold up for a few hundred miles, just keep an eye on it and maybe scrape off any melted plastic before it gets worse. Once the ECU flash and block-offs are done, things will be all set. Did she manage to zip-tie or secure the canister better this time?

it will be okay to run it as long as the canister is not touching or melting anything, but she should be careful because running the system without ECU flash won't give an instant problem, but it can give long term damage.

Riding it like that might not kill the bike, but melted plastics near a full exhaust isn't just cosmetic, it's a fire risk. Performance mods are fun, but ignoring heat clearance is straight-up reckless.
